Computer fairs are passé
Thus `n 10 years ago I visited a lot of scholarships to new computer hardware aanschafen.
It was always fun on Sun 'n fair. For the inaugural paid a few guilders and you could enjoy themselves all afternoon. It was always very busy, you saw anyone dragging printers, spindles CD `s and monitors. The prices were lower than in the computer store around the corner and many products were present. After several hours shopping and sniffing a breather and enjoy junk food.
A few months ago I walked around at a computer fair in Zwolle. After nearly 10 euro to having paid entrance I came in a fairly empty room. After fifteen minutes of walking around I came to the conclusion that this is one of the last visits to a computer fair was (with the exception of the Hcc days in Utrecht) The range of hardware was moderate and the number of stands was distressing. You could still find a new Nokia rather than computer.
Computer Fairs have been destroyed to the success of online shopping. The merchants in recent years have made major developments. The range of products has increased and the service of many online stores has improved.
The total turnover of online stores in the Netherlands was the last year 3 billion and that will only increase. There is also more competition, including supermarkets, currently offer the best configuration at an attractive price.
The computer fair in the nineties was a great success but is now clearly on the wane.
The good sniff around and see everything there is today no longer, but that's the price you pay for cheap computer hardware.
