Canon Selphy CP800 review

This week at a local photography store a compact photo printer bought the Canon brand, Type Selphy Cp800. Compact photo printers are handy devices if you want pictures printen.U can only be pictures up 10 x 15 cm with Print. On the Internet you can buy this printer for about. 90 euro. I have 95 Euro paid for and I did not expensive (Internet are still shipping)

The packaging

In the box you will find another printer, power and manual. The manual is written in multiple languages, including Dutch. It's good to know. Sometimes the printer, some photo paper and ink included. Unfortunately, this is the Canon Selphy is not the case. There is really no USB cable included. This is not necessary because the device supports different types of memory, but usb. You do not need a computer to print.

Ink Cartridge

Canon Selphy uses ink cartridges. You can ca. 40 Printing photos 1 ink cartridge. You can buy the ink cassette, but also benefit package for ca. 35 euro. Quality Photos

I have the pictures compared to my old compact photo printer, the Epson Picturemate type 240.
Personally, I think the Epson printer to print photos more beautiful than my new Canon printer, but the Canon printer prints the pictures sharper. In the menu of the Canon photo printer, I can not find settings that change color except black / white,neutral and vivid. Another disadvantage of the Canon Selphy photo paper is very thin while paper from Epson (original) much firmer.

Printsoftware.

The bundled software from Canon Selphy is OK but not as extensive as that of Epson. The
software from the Canon printer is really made, without knowledge of the facts to print, while
you with the Epson software has more advanced features. Personally I find this much nicer.
To give an example. At Epson, you can set yourself edges (for example, 5mm in instead of
3mm). The software of the Canon Selphy this option has not.

Afterword

Canon Selphy CP800 need my Epson Picture Mate 240 replaced. This printer I frequently
used. Unfortunately, the last pictures showed what stripes. I was very happy with my Epson
printer, but I have now opted for the Canon Selphy CP800. Canon Selphy makes use of the
latest printing technique called Dye-sublimation. The quality of the pictures is excellent and prints do not include professional photo lab.
